Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator / Safety Administrator to support our commercial construction projects located north of Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will be passionate about safety and experienced in construction site safety practices, inspections, and compliance. They will work closely with site teams, superintendents, and project managers to implement safety protocols, conduct regular safety audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee project-specific safety plans in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and client safety protocols.
• Facilitate safety training, toolbox talks, and site orientations for all project personnel, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Monitor and report on safety incidents, near misses, and trends; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of safety documentation, including inspections, training, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and site superintendents to create a proactive safety culture on all sites.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and changes in regulations, providing guidance on necessary updates to the safety program.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of safety experience in the construction industry, ideally within commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with safety management software is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
