POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, this position will perform a variety of activities relating to the management of the parts inventory and parts procurement functions.Coordinate daily warehousing, storage, and receiving operations, maintain inventory of stored items, and coordinate with other departments the delivery of items to and from storage.The majority of the inventory documentation is completed using a barcode devise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:may include any or all of the following.

  • Coordinate the scheduling and performance of daily activities involving staging work orders to include pulling marketing and staging of materials, as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments, the delivery of items to and from storage; expedite parts when necessary.
  • Maintain area to ensure proper storage techniques and verification of items for staging.
  • Maintain items stored in the staging area and return items no longer needed for work orders to the warehouse.
  • Work with other departments to aid in the reduction of backlogged or expired inventory and assist with the cycle count.
  • Work with Purchasing and Warehouse to expedite back order material for shop.
  • Deliver and remove work in a process as required by shop. Maintain radio contact with manager/field at all times.
  • Provide assistance in receiving and shipping duties.
  • Pull and document material required for production.
  • Count, verify and document material received from suppliers.
  • Assist with scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs for equipment used in daily operations; ensure a clean, safe and organized working environment within the warehouse and warehouse yard.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Proven ability to operate heavy machinery in accordance with all safety policies and procedures.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Vocational Certification or Associate's Degree in an Inventory Management discipline is preferred.


Computer skills:

  • Adequate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
