As a General Manager, you will lead a dynamic team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guest Experience Management:
    • Ensure every guest interaction is positive and exceeds expectations.
    • Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Staff Leadership:
    • Train, mentor, and develop team members to ensure high performance.
    • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment.
    • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper food storage.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and control operational budgets and expenses.
    • Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
    • Enforce all local, state, and federal regulations related to food and beverage service.

Training Location

All manager candidates will undergo training at the Jalapeno Tree in Tyler, TX, before transitioning to their home store.

Requirements

Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar restaurant concept.
    • Proven track record of managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications:
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Compliance with any federal, state, county, or municipal regulations regarding food and beverage service.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in using point of sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, move at a rapid pace, bend, twist, and lift products weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Frequent exposure to varying temperatures (cooler/freezer and kitchen area).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, day shifts, and night shifts.
  • High school diploma or GED; advanced education in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
