Overview
Join our team as a Drone Field Operations Specialist and play a critical role in supporting uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) delivery operations. This hands-on position requires a skilled, self-motivated individual who can independently manage daily flight line activities, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and maintain operational readiness of aircraft and ground equipment.

Responsibilities
- Flight and Airspace Monitoring
- Visually monitor and report non-client aircraft in the airspace to the PIC when scheduled.
- Monitor client-provided air-traffic displays and report non-client aircraft to the PIC.
- Detect and report hazardous weather conditions, visible obstacles, and other flight hazards to the FOM.
- Verify and report the location and height of detected obstacles as requested.
- Site Setup, Maintenance, and Logistics
- Set up nests prior to the start of operations and properly secure nest equipment and facilities at the end of service.
- Perform daily aircraft and flight-line checks, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
- Conduct routine aircraft maintenance and perform regular nest equipment and condition checks (before, during, and end-of-day operations).
- Maintain nest cleanliness within the designated boundary and replace client-provided nest equipment as required.
- Operate a van to move between operating locations, transport aircraft between sites, and recover Wing aircraft.
- Recover Client aircraft that land outside the nest area (unless deemed unrecoverable due to safety concerns).
- Communication and Reporting
- Maintain communication with the Client's flight operations center using provided equipment.
- Participate in personnel briefs and training as required by SOPs.
- Report any unsafe or unusual occurrences, minor emergencies involving aircraft/equipment, and complete field service tasks as assigned by the FOM.
Qualifications
- Required: Active Part 107 Remote Pilot License.
- Proven ability to work independently and perform duties without constant supervision.
- Valid driver's license and comfort operating a light vehicle (van) for transport between operating locations.
- Strong adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and maintaining contact with the Flight Operations Manager (FOM) and the Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
- Ability to learn and perform routine aircraft maintenance and equipment checks as defined in UAS maintenance manuals.
