Job Title: Remote Customer Success Engineer (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $2,900 USD/month

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours within business hours in US time zone

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Success Engineer to support bug resolution, proactive monitoring, feature validation, and customer implementations across their platform.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering and customer success, working across the full stack (Python/Django backend and React frontend) to diagnose and fix issues, validate releases, and ensure a seamless customer experience.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and proactive-capable of identifying issues before customers do and taking full ownership of resolving them.

Responsibilities

  • Bug Investigation & Resolution
    • Investigate and resolve customer-reported and internally detected issues across the full stack
    • Debug backend systems using Python/Django, logs, and error tracking tools
    • Debug frontend issues using JavaScript/React and browser developer tools
    • Implement and deploy bug fixes across backend and frontend codebases
    • Verify fixes in staging and production environments
    • Document root causes and resolutions for future reference
  • Proactive Monitoring & Issue Detection
    • Monitor logs, dashboards, and alerting systems to detect issues early
    • Perform regular system health checks across critical workflows
    • Investigate anomalies and recurring error patterns proactively
    • Track and report trends in proactively identified vs. customer-reported issues
  • Feature Release Validation
    • Test new features in staging and pre-production environments
    • Identify bugs, regressions, and usability issues before release
    • Monitor performance and error rates after deployment
    • Contribute to release validation processes and quality checklists
  • Customer Support & Implementation
    • Resolve triaged customer issues within defined SLA timelines
    • Reproduce and troubleshoot issues in staging or local environments
    • Support technical onboarding, including data validation and integrations
    • Perform data corrections and configuration updates when needed
    • Communicate resolution details clearly to internal teams
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
    • Document issue resolutions, workarounds, and troubleshooting steps
    • Maintain runbooks, playbooks, and internal knowledge base content
    • Identify recurring issues and improve documentation to prevent repeat problems
    • Share learnings and insights with engineering and support teams
Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

Required
  • 2+ years of experience with Python and Django
  • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and React
  • Strong experience debugging across full-stack environments
  • Proficiency with browser developer tools (Chrome DevTools or similar)
  • Experience with logs, monitoring tools, and error tracking systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills
  • Experience troubleshooting API integrations, data flows, and system behavior
  • Ability to write SQL queries or use ORM tools for data analysis
  • Understanding of frontend-backend data flow and architecture
  • Experience validating features in staging and production environments

  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of issues end-to-end
  • Proactive mindset with ability to detect and prevent issues early
  • Clear communication of technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success

Preferred
  • Experience working in SaaS or customer-facing engineering roles
  • Familiarity with tools like Sentry or similar error tracking platforms
  • Experience supporting customer onboarding and technical implementations
